MAHLE Clevite built a reputation for durability on roads worldwide by building a reputation for success on tracks of all kinds around the world:

NASCAR® - The biggest name in American Motorsports played an integral part in Clevite becoming the premium choice in engine bearings. Clevite® engine bearings are preferred by every NASCAR engine builder, in fact, they have been on the engine of every single NASCAR Champion from NASCAR's inaugural 1948 season to the present. Since then, the presence of MAHLE Original® pistons, Perfect Circle® piston rings, and Victor Reinz® gaskets continues to grow. Engine Builders stake their livelihood in the parts they choose - that is why they choose MAHLE Clevite Inc.

MAHLE Clevite has presented the Clevite Engine Builder of the Year since 1984, in doing so, recognizing many of the sport's greatest innovators that may have otherwise been overshadowed - the Engine Builders. In addition to the Engine Builder of the Year, MAHLE Clevite is a NASCAR Contingency sponsor with the highest participation level of any of the Contingency sponsors - simply put, they all choose MAHLE Clevite. Our engine bearings, gaskets, piston rings and many other engine parts are exclusive NASCAR Performance products.

NHRA® / IHRA® - Perhaps nothing shows off pure horsepower like drag racing. Cars that go from a dead stop to over 330 MPH in about 4.5 seconds create an extremely demanding environment for engine parts to function in. Clevite engine bearings are the only engine bearings that can stand up to this torture repeatedly. Where Clevite engine bearings have no competition in terms of strength and durability, the market for piston rings is much more competitive with many manufacturers offering rings that can get the job done. Perfect Circle piston rings are the only ring of choice for several of Drag Racing's top teams including Don Schumacher Racing, Kalitta Motorsports, John Force Racing and Snake Racing.

Beginning in 2007, MAHLE Clevite began a sponsorship with IHRA, this joins the MAHLE Clevite Nitro Club™ in terms of official straight track involvement. The Nitro Club is an engineering support program for participating teams in Drag Racing. The program began in 2004 and has continued to grow every year - membership now includes virtually all of the top Nitro Class teams.

Formula 1™ - Though Formula 1 takes a back seat to the popularity of NASCAR here in the United States - though around the world, Formula 1 is the most popular form of racing. F1 cars routinely reach speeds of 225 MPH on flat road courses. Technology on the inside and outside of these cars must be at the forefront for every Formula 1 team. Since the importance of technology is so high, there is no coincidence that MAHLE pistons are chosen by the most successful Formula 1 teams like Ferrari®.

Grass Roots Racing - Regardless of whether the competition is on a straight track or circle track, or if the engines are spec motors or custom built in a speed shop - MAHLE Clevite's full line of internal engine parts are counted on to deliver. Throughout NHRA® and IHRA® Sportsmen Class levels, or NASCAR® or ARCA® weekly short track racing and all through Sprint and Midget class levels - Clevite® engine bearings, MAHLE Original® pistons, Perfect Circle® piston rings, and Victor Reinz® gaskets provide everything an engine builder is looking for to get to the finish line, the winner's circle, victory lane, or wherever the final destination may be.
